Report on existing support instruments for heat generation from renewables and policy recommendations concerning the development of RES-H support instruments
Objectives:
- To elaborate a comprehensive overview of supporting instruments for heating produced from renewable energy source in the EU
- To review the market potential for renewable heating in the EU
- To discuss with project partners the existing options for supporting renewable heating
- To facilitate the development of support instruments and the exchange of EU wide best-practices
- To integrate new EU member states and candidate countries in the process of policy development related to support schemes for renewable heating

Activities:
SUPPORT ERS prepares a report presenting a systematic overview of existing support instruments for the increased use of renewable energy source for the supply of heat and cold. We develop market reviews on renewable energy technologies which we will use in a complimentary way to the policy information produced within our project. SUPPORT ERS will organise a joint workshop where we will assess support instruments according to the renewable heating potentials in the partner countries. The findings on support instruments and market potentials are the basis for the development of policy recommendations for further action to improve the effectiveness of support instruments for heating produced from renewable energy source.
